Developer: Adam Apps
Contact: info@adamapps.in
Effective date: April 13, 2026
Summary: Offline Hindi OCR is designed to process text from images on your device. The app stores your OCR history and related images locally on your device so features like history and favorites can work. The app also uses third-party services such as Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Google ML Kit. Those services may collect device, app, diagnostic, advertising, or installation-related information as described below.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Offline Hindi OCR accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app on Android or iOS.
2. Information We Access, Collect, and Use
2.1 Images, recognized text, and local history
- The app lets you choose images from your gallery, receive shared images from other apps, or capture images with your camera.
- The app processes image content to recognize text and may translate text using on-device language models.
- Recognized text, favorites, timestamps, and saved image copies used for OCR history are stored locally on your device.
- We do not intentionally upload your OCR images or recognized text to our own servers for processing.
2.2 Device, app, and diagnostics information
- We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports and diagnostics that help us detect, troubleshoot, and fix app stability issues.
- We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve features, performance, reliability, and user experience.
- These services may collect information such as app instance identifiers, device model, operating system, app version, usage events, crash traces, and other technical diagnostics.
2.3 Advertising data
- We use Google AdMob to show ads, including banner, interstitial, rewarded, and app open ads.
- AdMob and related Google advertising technologies may process device and app information, advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from device signals, and ad interaction data to deliver, measure, and protect ads, subject to Google's own policies and settings.
- Where required, we request ad-related consent using Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads.
2.4 Notifications
- If you allow notifications, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send notifications.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging uses installation- or token-based identifiers so notifications can be delivered to your app instance.
2.5 Downloaded language models
- The app may download Google ML Kit language or OCR-related models to your device so OCR and translation features can work offline.
- These downloads may involve communication with Google services to obtain the required on-device models.
3. Permissions We Request
- Camera: Used when you choose to capture an image or use live OCR.
- Photos or storage access: Used when you choose images from your device or share an image into the app.
- Notifications: Used only if you choose to allow notifications.
